Coaching Bio

Sly Yeates, a Logan, Utah native, brings a well-rounded background across professional, academy, and youth soccer, with experience spanning coaching, operations, and player development. At the professional level in the Gainbridge Super League, Sly served as First Assistant Coach with Spokane Zephyr and held an expansive role with Lexington Sporting Club, serving primarily as Director of Operations/Player Management. 

Across youth, high school, and regional programs, Sly has consistently developed competitive teams and high-level players. Highlights include multiple region championships and a 2022 state title at Real Salt Lake Academy, leadership roles within Olympic Development Program (ODP) structures, and extensive club experience including serving as a Club GM/Technical Director and Girls Director of Coaching.  In addition to team success, Sly has experience as a performance coach, designing and implementing individualized speed and agility programs to enhance athletic development and on-field performance. Complementing this work is a strong understanding of the game gained through officiating, holding USSF, NFHS and NISOA National Referee credentials.
