Why the Girls Academy League
The Girls Academy is an exclusive national league that clubs must apply to, meet the minimum standards, pass an interview, and be voted to become a part of. The attention and focus we have provided our teams over the years is what enabled us to achieve this next step - membership in the Girls Academy League.
We can now truly say that we have pathways and avenues for every level and every player in our club, from development to college, to National team, to professional.
Our top girls’ teams at the U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18/U19 age groups will be designated and registered as Girls Academy League teams. These teams will compete in the Girls Academy for their league games and compete in some of the top Showcases in the country. This environment is unparalleled for Collegiate and National Exposure. Each of these events will provide opportunities for players to be seen and identified by 300-600 college coaches and a team of US Youth National Staff. Providing unparalleled opportunities for our top-level teams and elite players.
The majority of our Westside Metros girls’ teams, will continue to compete in the OYSA Leagues and Cups. We will continue to provide each of these teams quality opportunities for tournaments, US Youth National League, and college showcases. We want to keep the momentum going. . .

“We are very excited that Westside Metros FC will be joining the Girls Academy League for the 2024/2025 season. We are looking forward to providing the GA as a pathway of our women’s program not only to elevate their game, but also to elevate the quality of women’s soccer in our area. IT is a privilege to be part of a program that shares our common vision for women’s soccer. We look forward to a great partnership for the coming years.” Davy Dupon, President |
“It is an absolute honor for Westside Metros to join the Girls Academy League, and to align ourselves with clubs and an organization that share our passions and beliefs. We share the Girls Academy’s mission of cultivating an environment that empowers each player to reach their best potential, both as a person and an athlete. The higher level of competition, provided by the Girls Academy, further supports our mission to provide our players increased exposure, to collegiate, professional, and national opportunities.”
